What happens at your assessment
- Your story. We take a detailed history: the problem, what you've tried, and old injuries, accidents and falls, even from decades ago.
- Hands-on assessment. Foot structure, joint movement in the foot and ankle, muscle tension, and how the pelvis and spine are sitting.
- Movement. We watch how you stand, walk and, where relevant, run, and may use the Functional Movement Screen.
- Your footwear. We look at the shoes you wear most.
- A clear explanation and plan. What we think is driving the problem, how we'll treat it and a cost estimate, so there are no surprises.
Who it's for
- Heel, arch, big toe or ball of foot pain.
- Knee, hip or lower back pain linked to walking, standing or running.

- Anyone wanting advice before taking up running or a new sport.
What to bring

Wear or bring shorts or loose trousers so we can see your knees and lower legs.
Common questions
Is this the same as a gait analysis in a running shop?
No. Shop gait analysis usually watches your foot on a treadmill to choose a shoe. We assess joints, tension, posture and history by hand as well as watching you move.
Do I need a referral?
No, you can book directly.
